The three things you'll ask first

Price, space on your days, and how the dogs travel. Here they are the way you'd get them in a text back, with a couple more people usually ask next.

What does it cost?
Ask and you get the figure straight back, before anything else. Prices are listed on the Walks page as Tom sets them, for group and for solo.
Have you got space on my days?
Weekdays only, Monday to Friday. Group walks stop at six dogs, so it comes down to which days you need. Tell Tom your days and you'll get a yes or a no, no waiting list talk.
How do the dogs travel?
In the van, crated, picked up from your door and dropped back after the walk. Pick-up covers Keswick, Portinscale and Braithwaite. The fourth frame above is what that looks like.
Group or solo?
Group walks on the fells and round Derwentwater, up to six dogs at a time. Solo walks for dogs that don't get on with others. You say which; Tom will tell you if he thinks the other would suit better.
Will I see where they went?
Every day. Tom takes photos and videos on every walk and sends them to the owners the same day. The Walk Diary is a selection of them.
Ask about your days

One message. Which weekdays, where you are, and a line about your dog.

Fell & Fetch in a few lines

I'm Tom, and I'll be the one who has your dog.

Fell & Fetch is one person and a van, based in Keswick. I do group walks on the fells and round Derwentwater for up to six dogs at a time, and solo walks for dogs that don't get on with others.

Weekdays only. I pick up and drop off around Keswick, Portinscale and Braithwaite, so your dog comes home tired and muddy and you haven't had to move.

I take loads of photos and short videos on every walk and send them to the owners the same day. You see where your dog went, who they went with, and what the weather did.

Most people who get in touch have just moved here or have just got a puppy. If that's you, the Walks page explains how group and solo walks run, and the Walk Diary shows what an ordinary week looks like.

Group or solo? There's a walk for either dog.

The service splits along one line: dogs that like company and dogs that don't. Both get the fells and the lake.

Group walks, up to six at a time

On the fells and round Derwentwater, with dogs that enjoy company.

Six is the limit, so I can see every dog and every dog can see me.

Suits sociable dogs, young dogs with energy to burn, and anyone who wants their dog properly tired by teatime.

Solo walks, one to one

For dogs that don't get on with others, or aren't ready to yet.

Just your dog and me, the same fells and shore paths, nobody else's dog to worry about.

Suits reactive or nervous dogs, and any dog that does better with the path to itself.

Have I got room on your days? Ask, and I'll tell you straight.

One message does it. I'll come back with the price, whether your days are free, and when I'd pick up. No forms to chase after that.

Put these in and I can answer in one go

  • Which weekdays you'd want, and whether that's every week or now and then.
  • Where you are: Keswick, Portinscale or Braithwaite.
  • Your dog: breed or size, age, and whether they're happy in a group or better on their own.
